BASIC COACH CONVERSION

Although originally manufactured to an "very approximate scale" of 1/48th , I widen a standard LIMA coach body to match other 1/43rd 'O' gauge rolling stock. All principal parts of the original coach are reused. My remodelling method allows the original finish of the coach sides to be preserved. The original interior is also retained. This is the basic Lima upgrade .
From the basic Lima coach, virtually any BR Mk1 coach diagram can be produced , with a total 'makeover' ; have a look in 'refurbished coaches '

1) Body & Roof widening of coach supplied by customer. Only CK and BSK. Coach widened to correct scale, ends filled and fitted with corridor connector overlays . Roof fitted with appropriate vents and finished in mid grey. Original buffer heads filed to oval shape. Option 1/. Fitting one piece vac. formed roof overlay, with all vents , roof plumbing and periscopes ( as used on my own conversions )add 15 Pounds Option 2/. White metal oval buffers , add 3 Pounds Option 3/. Remove moulded lima corridor connector , replace with plate and concertina corridor connector , add 9 Pounds. Option 4/. Fitting of 'flush glaze' windows to coach sides ; add 20 Pounds for BSK and 25 Pounds for the CK. Other options available , just ask .	£45 Basic price before options.

2) Wheels : fitting of scale size steel wheels to original bogies running in top hat bearings . Coach height adjusted to scale.	£25

3) Bogies : removal of original bogie, fitting of Easy build BR MK1, B4 or Commonwealth bogies ; fitted with steel wheels in top hat bearings, coach height adjusted to scale . Can be fitted with Aquitrain Single Link couplings for an extra 5.00 Pounds.	£45

4) Fitting of 3C's sides : supplied by customer . Please get in touch to discuss your requirements and the options available, prices vary depending on the sides to be fitted , ie CK or FO ,etc ; and whether the coach is to be widened at the same time.Prices start at 20Pounds for fitting your sides to your un-widened CK coach ,with appropriate transfers and door T handles & grabs. 5) 3'C's coach side overlays We now hold the remaining stock, please get in touch for details. AQUITRAIN OVERLAYS ALL 7 COACH TYPES ARE NOW AVAILABLE IN BR LINED MAROON LIVERY . Price ; 16.50 Pounds / pair . These are a new reprinting using the original 3 Cee's artwork which AQUITRAIN now own . 'Blood & Custard' Overlays will be available next , let me know if you would be interested. Apart from Maroon, what's left ????? A couple of sets in BR Green , at 25 Pounds / pair ; and in Blue & Grey I have a couple of sets , again price is 25 Pounds / set . 6) Lima coaches . Various liveries in stock . Our used Lima coaches are selected from the best we have in stock. They are then checked to make sure that the couplings work , all buffers present and not chipped , bogies OK with no abnomal wheel wear , no cracks in roof , etc. Any defects are corrected from our spares supply , some even have Brand New bogies fitted ! We also , as far as stocks permit , supply a Lima box for the coach. Or can supply an Aquitrain stock box . So , a used Lima coach from AQUITRAIN is almost as good as NEW. 7) Coach interiors : on all the basic conversions the seating unit is left as supplied , except the BG, which is reduced to the guards space only on a new floor, cost ; 7 Pounds. If you require the seating to be modified to match the coach diagram and then painted, this can be carried out at a cost of ; First Open , with tables etc; 25 Pounds. Second corridor ( 3 a side ); 20 Pounds. Restaurant Buffet , with seating , tables , bar/counter and kichen area ; 25 Pounds. Second Open (2 a side) With tables ; 25 Pounds .	From £ 7.00

8) Ready to run coaches :
a) Lima coach from our own stock, with YOUR 3C's sides applied. Original bogies with original couplings ,shortened to cut the gap by half , fitted with correct steel wheels, transfers, handles, etc to sides. This coach is NOT widened .	From £ 100
b) Lima coach from our own stock, widened, 3 C's side overlays fitted , with single link couplings, transfers, handles, to sides, ends, etc. Roof widened with one piece roof overlay with correct vents ,periscopes, plumbing ,etc . Mounted on Easy Build BR Mk1 or B4 bogies .Interior modified and painted to suit.	From £ 195

$This coach has NOT been widened , but has the 3 c\'s overlay sides added ,and has been re wheeled with steel wheels running in top hat bearings.The original couplings have been moved inwards to reduce the gap by half .$

$My first attempt at detailing a class 33 ; apart from the buffer beam detail ,this loco later had cosmetic bogie sides fitted , and was \'flush glazed\' ,before it was sold$

$Part of my first rake , this coach is widened , with 3 c\'s overlays and Easy Build bogies , correct roof plumbing and periscopes , my own single link couplings , etc.$

$5 blue /grey coaches , not widened, but rewheeled + 3 C\'s sides , close coupled . Consists of 2 x CK + 2 x SK and a BG , can also come with an RB.This rake has been SOLD , and stock coaches are now only available as widened versions , with all the normal AQUITRAIN modifications .$
